From Glamazons Blog: Once again, Karl Lagerfeld’s commentary has left us scratching our heads. Here’s his latest verbal offense via Metro, this time targeted at Adele.
On Adele:
“I prefer Adele and Florence Welch. But as a modern singer she is not bad. The thing at the moment is Adele. She is a little too fat, but she has a beautiful face and a divine voice.
He had nicer things to say about “magical” Michelle Obama and recalls a comment she allegedly made about her “big, black ass.” Yes, you read right.
Karl has forgotten at one time he was tubby. Since he has become slimmer, he seems to feel the need to call others out.
just an all out civil war between skiiny and fat.
Adele IS a big girl, not thin by any means. But I’m sure she is aware of that, so Karl’s comment was unnecessary. Talk about a backhanded compliment…”she’s fat but at least she’s pretty and can sing”.
