Ladies, is it just me, or does it seem like, every time you look around you see a new product targeting women with naturally curly coifs? I’m not complaining about it at all, in fact, I’m quite excited about having options for my tightly-curled coif but sometimes you have to put these products to the test. That’s just what I did with the Huetiful Hair Steamer, which retails for $114.95.

The Huetiful steamer is a unique three-piece at-home hair kit that is said to lock in 5 times the moisture compared to using plain old conditioner. It pretty much looks like a hooded dryer, but with a water depository. With just 12 ounces of water, you really do get a fabulous 20-minute steam treatment. It wasn’t loud at all, and it produced a lot of steam.

The only thing that bothered me during use is that I didn’t wear a headband to help keep product from dripping down my neck and forehead, which was recommended in a tutorial from the Huetiful website so I recommend you do.

This innovative beauty tool retails starting at about $115 for just the hair steamer and $120 for the hair steamer and a facial steamer attachment. I think it’s well worth the money because some salons charge nearly $100 for this luxe experience.

I was familiar with the Huetiful steamer because many of my go-to beauty gals gushed about it, so I was excited to put my tresses to the test and give it a try. I fell all-the-way in love with this steamer and would absolutely recommend it to anyone, whether your hair is relaxed or natural.

What do you think about the Huetiful hair steamer? Is is on your beauty wish list?

If so, purchase here.

Glad you had success with it, but I find that sleeping with my conditioner worked much better than using this device. I actually returned mine.

I purchased a heutiful a couple years back. Used it only twice and should of sent it back. I get the same steaming experience while showering. I agree the conditioner and cap method seems to be better. But then again I live in Florida which is always hot. Most days I do a leave in conditioner and go. Let the hot humidity down here be my huetiful. lol

I got the Huetiful hair steamer in a giveaway on CurlyNikki.. I’ve used it a couple of times but i read that some conditioners need to have heat or steam activators and sometimes the hot water burns my scalp but I think it is okay.. I wouldnt brag about it because if you use the right products it doesnt matter to me i dont see the difference..

I purchased the Huetiful with the hope of solving my dry-hair after wash. No matter how much conditioner I use (during steaming and leave-in conditioner) my hair feels like a brillo pad the day after I wash. So frustrating. I liken in to when I had the care free curl (I’m dating myself I know). I never did figure out how to get the curls to snap back immediately after washing; it was dry as a bone then I had to reapply the activator and moisturizer to get the curls to return. If anyone has an advise please share. Asante Sana.

Hi Nef, I had the SAME problem and through a little internet research discovered that I may have been overloading my hair with protein and ALSO have hard water in my area. What has worked for me is 1) cutting back on protein (check the ingredients on your hair products, it’s in a lot more things than we think!) 2) deeeeep conditioning, like finding the deepest conditioner I can and letting it sit under a cap for hours! 3)doing a final rinse with Apple Cider Vinegar and distilled/spring water. It sounded so strange the first time i heard it but I usually take a bottle of water (2 cups but NOT TAP WATER) and mix in 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and pour over my hair after I rinse my conditioner. When I say my hair is SILKY, I mean it feels like freshly spun silk LOL! Prior to doing these things my hair literally stuck together at the ends it was so dry…almost like velcrow. Now I cannot keep my hands out of it.

      Hope this helps!

I own a huetiful steamer and it works wonders. Here’s my regimen:

I combine castor oil, coconut oil and a few drops of tea tree oil.

Heat it up and then slather it all over my scalp and hair.

Leave it on for a couple hours and then shampoo.

I then use Karen’s Body Beautiful hair mask (forgot exact name) and sit under steamer with it. Once I rinse it out, my hair is so moisturized, shiny, and soft. I love it!
