Many people believe that this is just about the time when we abandon our New Year resolutions. At this time, we are supposed to feel totally dejected because we’ve let go of our dear-old resolve.

Maybe that is true, but I say, hell, you can always jump right back in and try again. You have a whole year to perfect them. That said, here are ten beauty routines to let go of…forever.

I agree with all of these except the plucking eyebrows part. I’ve been grooming my own eyebrows for YEARS and am pretty darn good at it. I will say that I went through a lot of errors before I found the routine that worked for me…

    Agree, agree, agree!

I’d add “making sure you drink enough water” to the list. Great for your health and does wonders in the beauty department too.

I’ve always plucked my own eyebrows, never had them done in a shop because I’ve seen some horrible jobs done and quite frankly, I do a great job on mine myself. no need to pay for a service I do just fine on my own. not to mention, unless I’m going for a facial, I’m not too keen on peoples’ hands on my face…

  4. I thoroughly enjoyed the article. I’m sad to admit I was a offender of almost all ten. Expect I’m natural now so number 10 no longer applies. And I’m the master of pucking, waxing and shaping my own brows. You all confirmed the things I vow to work on beauty wise this year. I’m so into fashion I sometimes slack in beauty product department. But they’re twin sisters you can’t have one without the other.

Also about donating the beauty products to charity. That would be okay with the exception of the make up, right? I read somewhere you’re not supposed to share makeup. I’m not being funny either. I only wear lip gloss and mascara. Thanks C&C!

I agree with most of these except for the hair down there bit. Waxing is a very unhealthy way to treat your lady bits. Pulling off the hair leaves basically no protection from bacteria or infection…and if you’re in a relationship and you wax and he waxes and he’s got something going on…guess where its going to transmit when you’re bumpin’ uglies? I support trimming to a reasonable density, but taking it all away, no thanks, not for me.

I disagree with two of these: plucking eyebrows & doing your own trim/bangs. If you’re able to do a good job yourself, why should you spend money for someone to (hopefully) do the same job??

I’m going to clean my brushes right now!

Really great ideas here! I’m a night owl, and i gotta admit when i get home at 4AM on the weekends, washing my face is the least of my worries, i just strip and collapse in my bed, lol. I have gotten blemishes not the next day, but maybe 2-3 days after so i’m trying to do better. I also have makeup staples that i don’t change no matter the season, i guess i should take more risks, but then i think if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
