With summer around the corner, designers are debuting new swimwear lines earmarked for the young, contemporary crowd. But no collection made a splash quite like Monif C.’s latest offering.

The line of delectable one-piece suits and bikinis found immediate fans among the plus-size fashion crowd and it’s easy to see why.

Modern suits like the draped cowlneck one-piece and 50s-style bikini are as trendy as they are flattering. Ruching details and mesh insets have a slenderizing effect that slims the midsection and enhances curves.

The highlight of the collection, however, are the sultry silhouettes and resplendent bright color. Favorites include the “Belize” black/yellow swimsuit and the “Catalina” draped suit in teal that will keep all eyes on you when it’s time to hit the beach.

What do you think of Monif C.’s Swimwear 2011 collection?
