Look of the day really? She has on a shirt and some heels. I don’t get it. I just don’t get it lol

  2. sandra says:

    totally agree…its not an outfit.

I don’t understand why she’s celebrated at all, especially by black women. You have so many hard working black celeb women in entertainment and sites choose to focus on this woman who only is famous for having sex with Kanye West. To make matters worse she isn’t even remotely fashionable or stylish. I don’t know, it really bothers me.

    • Coco and Creme says:

Just a look of the day…. no one is celebrating anyone. It’s a picture of the day. That’s all. We actually like her look – especially her shoes. And if she is fashionable or not – every looks at fashion/style differently. We dug it.

      Thanks.

      • Coco and Creme says:

and she is a woman of color. Sorry.

        • Sadie says:

Ditto my response on the Kim K. post:

Cameron Diaz is a half Cuban woman of color, will she be featured on this site soon too? I can go to any other fashion site and you’ll see Kim K displayed daily. I have no problem with her, let her make her money. I just don’t understand why sites like this are obessesed with a woman who doesn’t project anything positive and doesn’t have anything to do with black culture other than sleeping with black men. I thought the point was to showcase women of color who are ignored everywhere else.

          I guess not.

          • Sadie says:

            *Substitute Kim for Amber

          • Coco and Creme says:

Wow. It’s disheartening that this young lady who is my Mothers skin tone – (and she is Black – as both my parents are) brings this much dissent around her.

This is a fashion and beauty site for women of color. Amber looks like people that look like me. I do not feel bad for featuring her. This is focusing on her clothes, shoes, accessories and makeup.

I hate to say this but if this is going to be an issue featuring Amber (cause I can’t say this is going to be the last time) – than C+C may not be the best place for you. Cause I refuse to not feature someone because is she not “Black enough” for some of the readers.

            Nope won’t do it.

Also – Kim K was used as a article topic about her relationship with other women of color. That’s it. There is no Kim K get the looks or anything else.

If you wanna contact me – please feel free.

Cameron Diaz is white, whether she is cuban or not, she is a white cuban, there is a difference smh!

          • omg says:

            the site is called:

            cocoa and CREME.

  4. Glamarazzi says:

But what is the “look” she has on a swear shirt and heels?

I have no issue with her ethnicity. We come in all shades. If she were actually wearing something flattering, fine. I enjoy this site, but of all the black, latin and asian celebs who were photo’d yesterday this was the best look you could find? Really? Just seems like a reason to post Amber. But I digress.

  5. coolie says:

Yikes! ladies calm down, its just a fashion post and I think she looks really nice. Definitely an upgrade from her spandex ridden closet. Dede, the post was just fine hun (I’d improve a lil bit on the editing and grammar but I’m just saying…lol)

  6. Fuchsia says:

A little confused about this “outfit” …lol she kinda looks cheap. I think if the dress was a little longer it would have been nicer, but I do like the concept. It’s close to my style but I would have done more with it.

  7. MsDiannaT says:

I wish sites would stop featuring pseudo celebs. Who is she? The queen of irrelevance. Yes she is black, and so what. If she can be featured, so can I. I would like to submit a picture of myself and other women I observe with cute outfits because that is about how relevant Amber Rose is. Like I said on your other site, its not about her race, its about her relevance.

    • Bronze says:

LMAO….The Queen of irrelevance! I love it!!!!! You can add: Queen of Mixed Chicks, Video Queen, Queen of Crotch, Queen of hotel lobbies, Queen of the Streets.

  8. janQUA says:

why is C+C making this an issue about her mother? I’m just saying…we understand you wanna feature someone you can relate to in appearance but…that is all we see all day. I think if this were Bossip or a site for black MEN you would get more understanding. Plus the outfit (if that’s what you wanna call it) is ugly. So people did not like your piece big whoop ….why you gotta bring your mamma an ‘em into this.

    • Coco and Creme says:

It’s not C+C – it’s me – Dede the founder of Clutch and Coco – and I was in no way making the conversation about her mother – I spoke of my Mother who is basically the same tone as Amber. I stated that her tone is the same of many of my family members. That’s all. Amber’s mother was not brought into the convo – mine was as a note that blackness as we already know comes in different hues.

      Dede

      • Coco and Creme says:

Also – the issue was not about choosing someone to relate to – it’s was her ensemble mainly her shoes — plain and simple.

        Dede

        • Yoshi3329 says:

Um, okay? since when are SHOES an “ensemble.” It’s French for ‘together.’ That means there is more then ONE PART (I.E. SHOES). It’s a COMPLETE costume of harmonizing or complementary CLOTHING and accessories. So yea, the sweater crap-whatever she has on has to be taken into account.

Lastly, if it is “mainly” about her “shoes,” then why is this “look of the day?” Why not create a post about her shoes alone if they’re that fab?

          *Bewildered* O.O??

  9. FNR says:

Seriously??? Are you kidding me??? A walmart salmon colored shirt and some grey suede heels deems this outfit a “look of the day?” Should I wear my grandmothers Shadowline pajamas and Daniel Greene slippers snap a photo and call it a look of the day?? WOW!!!

    This is sad…

  10. thobes says:

    Okay *blowing whistle*

    1. First of all, she looks amazing. It’s simple, and it’s sexy. Yes to the Salmon top and yes to the grey pumps. They look fantastic on her. Yes, indeed, she looks perfect. Amber gets my fashion stamp of approval. #noshade here whatsoever.

    2. Please tell me Who isn’t mixed in America? I’m not sure what the point or mission statement of coco + creme is, but if Amber says she’s black, then dammit, she’s black! If Barack Obama can have an undiluted white mother and call himself black, then why in the world can’t a half african, half barbados, but born in philly girl say the same thing??

    3. If you have issues about the way she rose to fame then that’s on you. The Point is, she’s famous, and she looks fabulous. Who cares why? End Story.
