Reports confirm the W offices are filled with cameras. The fashion magazine is filming a documentary on it’s September issue under new editor-in-chief Stefano Tonchi.

As you fashion heads know, the September issue is the most critical release for fashion magazines, as Fall is generally the beginning of the fashion calendar. A W rep tells The Cut, the release for the documentary film will be “around late October.” W’s documentary will be directed by R.J. Cutler.

No further information on the project was offered. We are unsure if the release will be as big as Vogue’s ‘September Issue.’ I don’t know about you but Vogue’s documentary was largely a dull watch, that is, sans the brilliance of Grace Coddington and the .5 second cameo of our beloved Andre Leon Talley. Hopefully W’s version will keep us from nodding off in the theater.
