I did my first Brazilian wax in the spring. I had it done with hard wax and yes it was a little uncomfortable but It was the best thing I ever did. I love it! I try to get one every six weeks. So yes, its a necessity for me!

My boyfriend loves it too.

Mandatory…no, but nothing wrong with some grooming. I prefer wax to shaving. One I dont have to do it as often and less ingrowns, etc. It’s uncomfortable, but once I pop a couple of pain relievers beforehand, it’s more tolerable.

Ev`Yan – that salon FAILED you. Every spa I’ve ever been to makes it clear that you should not get you bikini line waxed the week before or of your period. But don’t let that bad experience turn you off for life. Just ask for blue wax on your bikini line (as opposed to the strips they use on your legs), it’s softer and much less painful.

for me it would be a luxury.. it doesn’t have to be done.. i’ll live if it’s not.. believe it or not i use the sally hansen hair removal creme baby lotion and it left me feeling super smooth.. i didn’t put it in my crack but i do like the landing strip @ one poster put it.. the purpose of the hair is to prevent friction..

I agree with Binky. It depends on the woman whether it is a necessity or luxury. Personally, I prefer waxes because it lasts longer, and I like the results a lot better. Luckily, I’ve good experiences, and found a great spa that does a really good waxes, and provides a relaxing environment to help distract me from the wax. It also helps that I haven’t had any bad experiences with getting burns or anything from the waxes, which is why I definitely prefer having my waxes. However, especially with today’s economy, getting a wax can be another expense added to our grooming process. So it really depends.

Weather it is a necessity or luxury depends on the woman. some women prefer different things like men…shrugs… Personally, for me it is just apart of my grooming process. But I do a combination of going to get it done and doing some of the upkeep myself until I have to go again but my preference is to have a little strip of hair down there and not looking like a little child but to me waxing is easier to many ingrown hairs and irritation with razors for

Necessary and I would never do without them.

I’ve always worn (tasteful) dance outfits and costumes that tend to show things, so I’ve been getting waxed since I was 13.

I don’t want to look like an 8 year old down there so I keep a “landing strip” of sorts, but I don’t like the look or feel of an enchanted forest and keep everything else smoooooooth!

I have never had a brazilian and I don’t care to. It seems the fetish is now the norm and the norm the fetish.
